Welcome to Our Beautiful World blog!

My name’s Sandra. I’m a Polish traveler and I’m glad that I can welcome you on my blog, which I created to share my biggest passion, constant exploration of our beautiful planet.

My story

For as long as I remember, I always dreamed about seeing the world, all those places I saw only in photos or movies. But if I’m being honest, there was always something standing in my way. Not enough time, not enough money, lack of travel buddies or simple fear of doing the first step and moving from some vague ideas to actual action. On the other hand excuses kept multiplying. Thankfully, a few years ago my friend convinced me to join her  on a trip to Gdansk, which she wanted to show to her friend that came from abroad, and I completely fell in love with traveling. We barely returned, and I was already planning the next trip.

Just as fast I realised that I love not only travels, but also the process of planning them. For me the adventure doesn’t start while making the first step through the threshold, but already while opening a map with a question “So… Where next?” This way I became that person who organizes all the trips and keeps dragging people out of the house.

Idea for a blog

I’m one of those people who hate being bored on vacations, for whom 20 thousand steps is a minimum and a horror story, who wake up early because there are too many interesting places to see to waste time for sleep. Because some trips are to relax and some are to explore, to experience as much as possible… and I definitely prefer the latter.

While planning my next voyages, I often used and still use all kinds of travel blogs, but in the era of slow travel I often look at different guides and think, what else can I see in a given place beyond some more popular attractions and are there really enough interesting places to spend an entire day there. Because of that I decided to create my own blog to share my experiences with others, who like me always want to see more, but also with those who maybe need a little bit of inspiration to make that first step.
